Your Cat Loves You (As Proved By Science)

New studies reveal even more about our relationship with our four-legged friends. Cats may seem aloof, but are actually very loving towards their human caregivers. Researchers at the University of Tokyo played recordings of their owners' voices and the voices of strangers to some cats, and when the cats heard the voices of their owners, they responded with behaviours that indicated excitement and happiness. Researchers theorize that the cats identify their owners as a mother figure, and feel an instinctive lift of their heart when they hear their voice.
Of course, true cat parents know about the special bond that they have with their cats - but it's great to know that this important relationship has been acknowledged.
